Elysia Lewis is an experienced school business leader with over 15 years of Chief Business Official experience in public education. She has served in senior leadership roles overseeing the full scope of school business operations, including budgeting and fiscal planning, accounting and audits, compliance, internal controls, facilities and maintenance, technology systems, risk management, contracts and procurement, food services, and business office operations.
Elysia brings a strong legal and financial foundation to her work. She holds a Juris Doctorate from Concord Law School (Purdue Global) and a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University, providing her with a unique perspective at the intersection of education, finance, and law. Her legal training strengthens her approach to compliance, risk management, governance, and regulatory interpretation within California’s public education framework.
She is a Certified Chief Business Official (CBO-E) through the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) and has completed the School Business Management Certificate Program through the University of Southern California. Elysia is known for her practical, compliance-focused guidance and her ability to support districts through complex operational, financial, and organizational challenges —helping districts strengthen systems, maintain compliance, and achieve long-term operational sustainability.
